The total Auditor’s valuation of the properties is $8,482,045. Extending Edgewood Road to Coshocton Avenue is estimated by two experienced local realtors to decrease the retail sale value of the listed properties by 30 to 35 percent, i.e., respectively, from the Auditor’s valuation by totals of $2,529,583.50 or $2,951,180.70, respectively. The grant funds referenced in Resolution 2024-23 are tax money. The decrease in value by implementing 2024-23 is money stripped from taxpayers without passing it through the tax system. Nevertheless, it represents real money
potentially lost by property owners. In the end, residents pay in taxes and in loss.
