City Council Minutes March 25th

RESOLUTION NO . 2024 - 23 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE SAFETY-SERVICE DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE REHABILITATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF EDGEWOOD ROAD (KNO CR 63A 0.00); AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Streets and Public Buildings: Severns, Ruckman Severns made a motion to amend Resolution No. 2024-23, to add "design of" in the caption, to change "Widening" to "Reconstruction" in the "Whereas" clause, and also in the same clause, to add "(if necessary)" after a later mention of "widening" and to define multimodal improvements as "(any non-vehicular modes of transportation throughout the project extents)." Ruckman seconded the motion to so amend, which passed by a roll-call vote of 7-0. Woods made a motion to further amend Resolution No. 2024-23 to remove Section 6 - Emergency Clause, with a second by Seavolt. Motion to further amend Resolution No. 2024-23 defeated by a roll-call vote of 2-5, with Ruckman, Keener, Miller, Severns and Mahan voting no. Severns made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2024-23 as amended, with a second by Ruckman. Motion to adopt as amended passed by a roll-call vote of 4-3, with Keener, Seavolt and Woods voting no.
